Tiffany Moore-Corteville

Tiffany has been a therapist for nearly 20 years in both school- and community-based settings. Currently, she provides individual therapy to adolescents and young adults aged approximately 12-22 who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, challenges with family or other relationships, or other life stressors that are getting in the way of experiencing a full and meaningful life.

Tiffany believes that you are the expert of your own experience and will be an active partner in your mental health treatment. Sessions are tailored to meet your specific personality and needs, with her primary strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based therapy. Sessions can be client led, therapist directed, or something in between, depending on what feels most helpful. At times, therapy can involve collaboration with support people, such as the school, family, or other providers.

 As a mother of teenagers as well as a professional therapist, Tiffany understands on a deep level how hard it can be to find a therapist who is right for you and your family. Opening up to someone new can be scary and overwhelming. Your first sessions are spent getting to know each other and becoming comfortable working together. As therapy moves on, you will create a plan for reaching your specific goals and tailoring the sessions to meet your needs. Your work together may be challenging at times, but should ultimately leave you feeling happier, calmer, and better able to engage in the life you want for yourself.

Tiffany earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelors of the Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan. She is currently a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the following 3 states: New York (LCSW), Michigan (LMSW) and Massachusetts (LiCSW).
