Flower City Fiddle is a violin and nyckelharpa music studio run by Ithaca College and Fulbright alumna Alyssa Rodriguez. She enjoys guiding students of all ages on their violin, fiddle, and nyckelharpa lesson journeys in person and
online and offers adult fiddle group class opportunities.
Alyssa holds a bachelor's degree in music from Ithaca College and has studied folk music at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland (where she completed her Fulbright), and at the Eric Sahlström Institute in Tobo, Sweden.
She is trained and certified in the Suzuki Violin Method and enjoys teaching beginning and intermediate violin to children and adults, as well as fiddle, improvisation, and jazz violin.
Alyssa recently published a book on Swedish and Finnish folklore and music and actively performs across the Midwest and North East.
