Big News for a Small Business

New Location 18 Harvard Street

I’m getting Crossbridge Wellness ready for a big move to fulfill the dream of the wellness community I have envisioned for years.  I began Crossbridge Wellness six years ago aiming to create a community of practitioners from a variety of disciplines and specialties working together to bring healing to our clients. I’ve looked for people who value the connection between mind, body and spirit. I’ve always wanted a way to reach out and make a difference in the surrounding community. The dream will continue to unfold starting March 1 at 18 Harvard Street in the city of Rochester.

History

Crossbridge Wellness 2019

Crossbridge Wellness began six years ago in March at Crossbridge Office Park. We navigated the twists and turns of pandemic which made it hard to attract body-oriented therapists, such as massage and acupuncture. We built a solid team, mostly made up of mental health professionals with one massage therapist and a mediator. We attracted wellness coaches for a couple of years along our journey. Most of our practitioners volunteered in some way beyond our walls.

Expanding Vision

I’ve realized we need a different kind of space to attract massage therapists, energy workers and acupuncturists. I’ve dreamed of a room large enough for yoga therapies, meditation, dance movement and music therapy. In addition, as I’ve been looking for new space, I’ve realized that Crossbridge Wellness needs to be in the city to connect it more closely to neighbors and neighborhood rather being surrounded by professional offices.

What’s happening to the previous team?

Tiffany Moore-Cortevillewill join me in the new location. The rest of the team will continue their quality work at Crossbridge Office Park, running their businesses independently. I’ve been honored to work with an exceptional group of practitioners. My colleagues love the beautiful suite surrounded by woods. I to have loved the space, but I have come to realize that I cannot fulfill my professional vision in that location. I will stay connected to my colleagues and continue to refer clients.

Developing a new team in a new location

Our new location, 18 Harvard Street used to be a wellness center before the pandemic. The new landlord shares my vision of making it a wellness center again. The space has a variety of sizes of offices including smaller, more affordable, private rooms for massage, energy work and acupuncture. It has a bright, larger room, 400 square feet, that can be used for yoga and meditations, including a floor labyrinth, as well as dance and music therapies. The room will be able to host wellness related workshops and trainings some of which will be open to the public.

There are two private bathrooms in the suite accessible to clients and staff. Located all on one level, the center and one of the bathrooms are handicapped accessible.

There is a shared kitchen in the back of the center with a round table where practitioners will gather to support each other over food and warm cups of tea and coffee. A connected community of practitioners translates into your healing and well-being.

Surrounded by homes on a quiet city street, it is within walking distance of shops on Park and Monroe Avenues. We look forward to the next part of our journey and welcome you to join us at 18 Harvard Street for a variety of offerings.  Click for directions and parking.
