Igor Light supports clients in finding meaning and value in life. He is a National Certified Counselor, Board Certified Coach, and Mental Health Counselor in New York with a limited permit. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and New York Mental Health Counselors Association. Igor has an integrative approach that primarily blends existential/humanistic and CBT modalities.
Igor has been additionally trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, which assist clients in restructuring their thoughts and modifying behaviors while addressing their ambivalence and strengthening motivation for change.
Igor works with adults experiencing life transitions, difficulties in their relationships or feeling stuck in life. He specializes in anxiety, depression, and addiction. As an existential therapist, Igor considers clients as fellow humans and believes that each individual has internal sources and potential to thrive.
In addition to being a counselor, Igor offers midlife coaching for people who want to improve their health, interpersonal relationships and live a more fulfilling life.
