Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Yoga Instructor
LMHC, M.S. Ed., Ph.D.
Have you lost your way? Attending closely to your felt-sense is a powerful means of discerning your inner truth. Merry’s role as a therapist is to help you focus and increase your self-awareness to facilitate choice and change. She offers mind/body approaches that take advantage of the ways the two are intimately connected.
Along with her practice of deep listening, she will be encouraging you to attend to your breath and to places of holding in your body that offer a key for releasing old, self-limiting beliefs. Intuition will be honored in her work with you as it shows itself in dreams, in encounters in nature, and in creative pursuits. It is an important voice.
Merry is passionate about helping adults move to the next level of development in their life journey and in finding joy again. She has a Ph.D. in Psychology from Sofia University, Palo Alto, CA. Her concentration in transpersonal psychology has led her to integrate alternative approaches to knowing and growing in her work. She is an experienced yoga therapist/teacher in the Phoenix Rising tradition, a creative arts SoulCollage® facilitator, and a shamanic healing practitioner. Since attaining her Masters degree and certification as a mental health counselor, she has worked in several different settings for forty years with a variety of client populations.
If you’ve grown tired of thinking of solutions to those challenging roadblocks, going round and round to no avail, it might be time to adopt a new approach. Merry invites you to attend to what else is waiting to speak- sensation, intuition, imagery. Learn to be present in the here and now, to honor the whole person and acknowledge the presence of spirit. Merry offers a no fee consultation to discuss what you can accomplish together.
