Are you grieving the death of an important person in your life? Whether that loss occurred yesterday or 20 years ago, coming together in the companionship of a grief support group can help you face difficult emotions and feel heard by others who understand your pain.
This group is appropriate for any adult who is grieving the death of a person in their life. Topics may include: coping strategies; building resilience; changes in family, identity, roles; spirituality and meaning; myths and facts about grief; self-care (music, writing, art, exercise); memories and rituals.
Meets 1st & 3rd Tuesdays at noon. $20 suggested donation.
Pre-registration is required, attend in person or online! In person participants (5 max for safe social distancing) will meet at Crossbridge Wellness Affiliates, 2000 S. Winton Rd, Building 4, Suite 200, in Brighton, NY. Online group members will be using Google Meet - tech support happily provided.
This group is led Sarah Hader, MA, LMHC-P. Sarah was called to this work by her own grief experience, following the death of her best friend. In private practice, Sarah's work focuses on companioning people through their grief experience and on helping older adults, care partners, and people facing life-limiting illness to work through and come to terms with emotional and spiritual issues to find acceptance, meaning and joy.
